CINEMATIC SOUND & MUSIC

Hello, my name is Dylan Eiland. I am an experienced director of audio, composer, and sound designer with nearly two decades of experience as a creative audio professional. I have worked on massive hollywood films and cutting-edge video games for industry leading publishers like Lionsgate, Sony’s PlayStation Studios, Meta, Thunder Road Pictures, Starbreeze Entertainment, Overkill Studios and more. I have a passion for making multimedia projects come to life through captivating soundscapes. I specialize in taking the projects that I work on to the next level by creating audio that not only immerses the audience but also leaves a lasting impact.

FILM AUDIO


One of the highlights of my career is my work on the blockbuster movie franchise John Wick. I was heavily involved in creating and curating the sound of the global hit film and the continuing film franchise which has broken a billion dollars in profit at the box office across the series’s four films. I worked closely with director Chad Stahelski to contribute several pieces of original music written specifically for the films in series as well as some of the promotional trailers. This experience has provided me with a unique and valuable perspective on audio storytelling, allowing me to bring cinematic-quality audio experiences to both films and video games. My ability to create immersive and emotionally resonant soundscapes sets me apart and shows my commitment to pushing the boundaries of audio in film, games, and multimedia experiences.

GAME AUDIO


In my role as the Director of Audio at First Contact Entertainment, I have had the privilege of leading the audio department for a renowned game development studio, primarily focusing on the development of first-party titles for Sony’s PlayStation Studios. I have a deep understanding for the pace of game development from beginning to end as well as industry standard game development tools such as Unreal Engine 5 and Audiokinetic Wwise. Over the past 6 years, I have overseen the creation, recording, and implementation of all of First Contact’s games’ sound design, music, and dialogue from preproduction through to release and into live services.

My experience goes beyond simply creating great sound and music assets. I have conceptualized, designed and implemented entire dynamic audio and dynamic music systems that complement and enhance gameplay. On our most recent project ‘Firewall Ultra‘ I worked closely with our partners at Sony Interactive Entertainment by directing a team of sound and dialogue designers. In addition to my work as the Director of Audio on the project I also composed the music for the game. On our previous two projects ‘Firewall Zero Hour’ and ‘Solaris Offworld Combat’ I was responsible for the creation and implementation of 100% of all of the games’ audio, sound design, music, and dialogue in both titles.
